Systolic is the upper number and Diastolic is the bottom number. Normal is between 90-119 over 60-79. High is 140-159 over 90-99 and they should see you right away if it is in that range or higher.
If you have tested your blood pressure and it is consistently high then you do NOT wait till the end of February. You call your doctor and you tell them that you are having blood pressure problems. You tell them what your blood pressure has been. There is no way that they would make you wait like that.

Avoid stress if you can, less salt, less sugar, less fatty foods. Call your doctor before you try this, but taking asprin every day will help thin out your blood and lower blood pressure. Exersize- try something soothing, like yoga or swimming- and honestly, if you can, have lots of sex. Its good exersize and the endorphins lower stress, which lowers blood pressure.

And try finding another doctor- a regular doctor can help you with blood pressure, you don't need a specialist.

Magnesium helps to control blood pressure, as does garlic, but be sure that the garlic is not deodorized, because active ingredient then is essentially deactivated making it virtually worthless. Fish oil is also helpful. Be sure that you choose one that is pharmaceutical grade and purified (so that you don't get stuff like mercury. blech)

No alcohol, no salt, no caffeine. If you are really worried, find a different doctor.
