It feels weird, because you cannot really put a face, or voice to the words from your long-distance someone. You tend to conjure, or dream up what they may look like and just get carried away in a fantasy as to who and what they are. The hard part can be when you really see and hear them. Does it live up to the fantasy you created?

At first it would have to be a heart to heart commitment regardless of time or distance. Then fully commit to one day meet in person. Also make sure you're read for a relationship and can handle it all espcially meeting in person for the first time cuz he or she may not be the person you thought they were. Phone calls are good but nothing beets a hand written letter and an updated photo once in a while too. Even going to see that person in person helps too. Who knows maybe he or she is the ONE and time will tell. I'm currently pursuing a potential LD with this girl right now.

I was in the same position as you are now. I met this girl online and we chatted and then visited her after 2 months of chatting online and now we are dating long distance. we have a great relationship together and my answer to you is you have to trust and communicate with each other.

i strongly believe, that it is a good idea to really get to know a person before meeting. i think it gives you the chance to really get to know that person and like them for who they are and not liking them because they are sexy or good looking. i say go for it and keep it real with each other.

Depends if the relationship is feeding your needs or not. Are you strong enough not to stray when the other person is not there?

It's not that weird. I am in one too and it's fine. Just make sure he/she cares about you and not just having fun as that would be really drastic. Good luck!
