It happened last night, very quickly. It was my very first accident. I was so scared, i had no idea of what had happened. I cried and a couldnt stop shaking. Luckily, i was only injured by the seat belt, like when the car jolted, and managed to get away with only a few bruises and sprains on my chest and ribs and neck. Both cars were totalled.

You will be shook up for a while...just thank the Good Lord through Jesus, for giving you the chance to reflect on your life, and you have been spared for something else...find out what it is and be blessed..

Coping after a traumatic incident can be very difficult--some people find it very helpful to get counseling (which can be very beneficial since they can help you deal with the event and come to terms with what happened and help you get over the shock). Friends and family are a big help as well. Some people get post traumatic stress after something major happens (not saying that is what you will experience) but it's good to just watch out for that so you don't suffer any longer than you have to. Good luck and hope you feel better. :)

well, that can often be a reminder of how fleeting life can be. people die in car accidents every day. you've got to look at the fact that you lived, and weren't seriously injured, and take it as a blessing. if you injured somebody, and you feel guilty about it, realize it was an accident. you weren't trying to hurt anybody, and these things happen.

anyway, like i said, realized you've been given a blessing. try and look at the bright side.

Talk to your parents, friends, go into therapy, write down your feelings in a journal, etc etc. Anything to get your fears out of the way. When you start driving again, go slowly and take your time and be alert. Good Luck
