I personally think you should take him/her if that person is a keeper. It's a good way for them to meet him/her. I actually did this and then we became engaged a couple of months later. My family is pretty scattered so this was a great way for him to meet the family.

Good one aiguy. I'll second that. Also yes I would because if it is her the ONE I mean why not meet the family a bit early. She'd be visiting with them every other year so I could see her family as well so um yeah. Why not introduce the family to that special some one after all he or she is sort of family via you.

It depends on how serious you are about them. If you're thinking about getting married then I would take them and introduce them to your family, but if it's not that serious then it will probably make them uncomfortable.

Since those events are usually pretty boring. There's nothing wrong with bringing a date. And he/she deserves to know what they're getting into if things get serious someday.
