I told her a while back that I want to be just friends, and I still mean it somewhat. The problem is she is flirting like crazy with me, and the more she flirts the closer we get. The closer we get the more I am starting to like or even love her! I am at the point where I want her to know that I care for her, but I do not want to just say I like you. That is tacky! How should I let her know?

Not every girl is subtle and uses codes. If you like her just be straight and ask her out or something.

Take a hundred little pieces of paper and write down one thing that you like or love about her on each piece. Wirte things down that make you laugh and things you love, like her smell, the way she combs her hair...ect. Then put all these pieces in a decorative box and give them to her with a note that says,"You may think that I've ignored you or that I haven't paid attention to youas much as you have wanted. But let me tell you now that I have, and I want to know you better. Here is a little proof.
This will knock her off her feet and definitly will not be tacky.

I've learned over the years that honesty and straight forwardness is ALWAYS the best policy. Simply resort to the first comment that you mentioned about being just friends. A conversation starting with "Over the years..." my feelings have become more than just a "friendship." If she is right for you, I certainly believe she'll tell you how she feels.

plan something nice like a dinner and a walk on the beach if you are near one or just something romantic and then tell her... but not directly... she will get the hint... you could say things like "you look beautiful tonight" or "you are one of the most amazing girls i have ever met" just cutsy stuff like that... and she's a girl so she will definately pick up on your hints. hope that helped=)

be straight up. girls figure that if they push up enough, the guy will give in & like them back. give yourself some space & decide what you really want. whatever you do, do not sleep with this girl!! that will bring problems you can't even image. don't even tell her you care for her. to an immature girl, that means "he loves me. he's just too shy to say it. let me help him that this RELATIONSHIP to the next level." Be honest with yourself & her.
