jonjon please. bigotry? i dont think i am the bigot here. thanks for taking the time and attention to review my Q&A. my correlation with atheism and hatred is justified with the nonsense u just posted as well as the other cynical belligerent questions about God i have came upon on answers. if u and people of your kind dont want to be associated with hatred, stop critisizing christians with ridicule and you will get the same respect in return. nice how you blocked your email, coward. I love combative christians...lol.
But since you asked - and incidentally I'm not an "atheist" per se, but I'll confess their creed for the sake of argument - consider the "teapot orbiting Pluto" analogy. Arguing FOR the existence of God, or Santa, or Shrek, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or whatever you want, is like arguing that there's a teapot orbiting Pluto. We can't conclusively disprove it at our current state of knowledge. For all we know, it MAY be there. But that doesn't mean that it's just as LIKELY that it's there as not. All our collective knowledge of the universe suggests that such an assumption is absurd. Theism is "obscurum per obscurius" - explaining the obscure by means of the more obscure.
The common credulity of uneducated people with regard to "God" is simply not worth discussion. "Belief is literally a matter of taste," as George Bernard Shaw wrote; but only for people who are so intellectually inferior that they have never taught themselves how to think.
And that's where YOU come in, Ms. Question-Poser. Reading your responses to people's answers, it's pretty clear to me that you're just a garden-variety simpleton - hence the christianity. You automatically associate atheism with hatred and angst and even satan-worship - that's just your bigotry talking. You apparently can't conceive of anybody being happy or fulfilled or "moral" without recourse to the crutch of superstition - that's just your projection of your own weakness onto your neighbors. Best of all, you think you actually have an argument here - that's just your incapacity to understand what constitutes intelligent criticism.

ok. in the beginning, you're on the incorrect prepare to start with. the place did you get this concept an atheist is somebody who believes thought is subjective? it particularly isn't any longer even on the ingredient to a definition of an atheist. that is a relativist. (confident, confident... i understand your particular faith is the only floor in a international of insanity and blah, blah, blah...) yet that purely isn't what an atheist believes. Now the 2d area of your question, the crux of it - sanity is unquestionably a level of psychological function. If an grownup can function fairly properly in society, a psychiatrist won't order they be compelled into therapy. Now i understand you have self assurance faith is a technique or the different the source of all unshakable reason and that's certainly attractive, in spite of the undeniable fact that it particularly is, regrettably, an exceedingly subjective place, by using fact it demands that subjective faith as a prerequisite for protecting any cost to any style of reason. As I advised you the different night, it particularly is basically what Descartes placed forward. it particularly is tenuous at superb. I also have a level in philosophy. i could be keen to guess very stable money you do no longer. (See that final one is a probabilistic judgement in accordance with constrained techniques and ordinary expertise). apart from, lotus improve at floor point in swamps, purely decrease than floor point for the main area, certainly, because swamps, like numerous bodies of water, can tend to dig a mattress. Why do you think of it is so marvelous you fly above them? that's the altitude of a dragonfly, which possibly isn't so staggering.

I'ts pretty much impossible to prove, categorically, that anything you care to name doesn't exist, whether it be God, Santa Claus, Shrek, or intelligent fundamentalists... it's just a question of whether or not it's reasonable to believe they do! If the belief is harmless (i.e. Santa), it really doesn't matter. But if the belief is harmful in that it cause you to behave negatively toward others (i.e. the God belief), then it certainly does matter! No, I can't prove that a vengeful white-bearded old man in the clouds who intends to fry all non-Christians in Hell doesn't exist... but even if I knew for sure He DID exist, I wouldn't worship the jealous s.o.b!

1. Santa Claus, as he is now known, actually did exist... you may have heard him referred to as St. Nicholas. He was an actual, historical person (the Vatican probably has records of this).
The Santa Claus myth revolves around his claim to fame.
2. Shrek doesn't exist because he's an animated character.
3. Your god does not exist for the same reason married bachelors do not exist.

So you're saying you think that Santa's existence is pretty likely, then?
Okey doke.
Edit - No... I understand the question perfectly. I'm just trying to show you how absurd your thinking is. By the same rationale, do I think god's existence is pretty likely? Nope. That's because I know more about your religion than you do. That's all there is to it. I know that sounds insulting, but we atheists are known for speaking the truth... not what makes one feel comfortable and/or happy.
I think you're actually a little too combative to actually objectively look at your own religion. But that's okay. Your children won't be. We're counting on them to bring us out of the dark ages.

I have stated over and over here on Yahoo answers that non-existance is unproveable.
Many times the question comes up, " Atheists you claim that God can't be proven, can you prove that there is no God ?
My answer is always the same, non-existance can't be proven. So your statement about Atheists needs a little work.

You are a moron, did you know that?
I'll make this as simple as I can for you.
You cannot prove non-existence any more than you can disprove non existence.
The fact that there is no evidence to support the existence of your magical sky-pixie (god) means that it does not exist.
See? Understand? Without any proof of existence, the default is non-existence. No need to prove it.
Isn't logic a wonderful thing? You might want to try it sometime...
