Why are people racist?

I am also talking about Yahoo too. No i am not defending a particular ethnic group. I'm so tired of this 'i am better than you coz i have _ skin or a different culture. People all want respect, nobody wants to be disrespected or spat on yet when it comes to giving respect, some crawl back under the black rock.

How right you are, people want to recive but not give. Much like at christmans time, spend as little as possible on others and want as much as possible for yourself.
