I live in hazelnut country! They are also known as 'Filberts' You eat them with the skins on (like you would Spanish peanuts) but in cooking or baking, sometimes the recipe will call for removing the skins. You do that by heating them up in a pan or in the oven for just a few minutes then putting them in a towel and rolling it up and working the skins off that way. It is a messy and time consuming job. Just chop them up and use--or better yet, just eat them the way they come. They are a wonderful tasting nut!

Cook your food in olive oil and drink plenty of water and eat pleanty of tomatos, how you think us Italians and Latinos and Hispanics keep our nice skin. That simple with a healthy dose of sun and mixed herbs for seasoning. When you eat herbs like parsely and go into the sun it rejuvinatesthe skin. Water flushes the body out of impurities like black eye beans do. Olive oil is prob the healthiest oil all around for human dietry consumption. Plus a little coconut oil on the skin softens it moisturizes it, smells beautiful is natural and does not leave the shiney skin like baby oil, plus it dont burn you in the sun but it does attract the sun so be careful of your skin type especially if your fair and have freckles.
