I know these beers are two completely different tasting types of beers. But what is better in your opinion? I have had beers from all over the world. I am a huge beer drinker. And I have had dozens and dozens of local and regional microbrews. And still to this day, I can't find a better tasing beer than Beck's. Even Beck's dark is great. I don't even care if they are a huge brewery. They just make beer taste the way it should taste.

I'm sorry, I wouldn't normally do the thumbs down thing, but my conscience simply won't let me not give a thumbs down to someone who has never had beer and tried answering this question. Haha.

BECK'S is awesome!! If you like light beers, try Beck's Light! Its way better than Amstel and it only has 64 calories!! I agree with you my friend.... all the Beck's beers are terrific! I really enjoy the Beck's Dark from time to time. Its full of flavor and well balanced too!! Good stuff!

Heineken is Skunked, why so people think that swill is fit for human consumption is beyond me. Becks Is only slightly better. Try Spatem or Paulaner if a lager is what you want. They are far beeter brews without the off characters so prevalent in the two aforementioned beers.

Well, I will start by disagreeing that they are both completely different tasting. They have somewhat of a similar taste. However; with that said I hate Heineken, and like Becks.

yeah I was drinking beck's 24 ozers last night, beck's is definitely better than Heineken, smoother taste, and I've been wanting to try that beck's dark, but in my opinion rolling rock is the best tasting beer you can find in a store, but the best beer I ever tasted was Mississippi mud, I'm' not sure who brews it but I think it's made in my hometown Portland, OR, it comes in a brown jug

I think that they are both pretty similar if you ask me. I first had Beck's while I was living in Germany and although it was decent enough to drink I think the taste of Heineken was a little better.

In Principal those Beer's are all made after the "Purity-Law". That means there have the same Ingredients.
But maybee you should go out on a Limb and try "GROLSCH",
another Beer from Holland. That's what is served in my House.(Premium-Lager)

Both are excellent beers, but I find that Heineken is a little lighter and a bit more subtle.

I prefer a 'big', slightly hoppy, yeasty, cold, clean brew, and, for my money, that's Beck's.

Not that I'd turn down a Heinie, you understand!

Best wishes

Would rather have Killian's Red or Smithwick's - do not like Beck's or Heineken's too much - will drink either beer's dark variety, especially if someone else is buying.

Well versed beer drinker here, and if I had to chose between these two (and there were no other options of beverage) I'd go Becks. But I'd have to disagree that these are two totally different types of beer. They are as close as two large brewery's can get. I'd actually chose to drink water before having either one of them.
