Normally, you go to the Town, City, then County, then state for records - in that order. That reduces the cost. So, if the state does not have them recorded yet, the county or town would be the place to go. Since you did not specify the town, or city, the only site provided is the County one.

The Office of Vital Statistics for Kentucky more then likely will NOT :-( have that available for you. Check for yourself.

Birth certificates before 1911 are not on file sadly. Further research will be needed on your part. I hope you have the best of luck. My family and I are from Kentucky also and I have been doing research for about two years with some, but not much, success. I hope your luck is better than mine. I have used the office of vital statistics for death certificates, but not for birth.

go to the county the birth occured in and check the local registry if the records go back that far.

You have to pay to use them but you can get a free 14 day trial so as long as you cancel you won't get charged.
That site is FULL of cool info..I've researched my family back to 1795 on that site.
