my dad ordered me the proactive kit for my acne. Its not an extreme case of acne but its enough to make you feel unconfident. I heard the proactive kit will 'make wonders' for you and your skin but then again i heard that if you run out and stop using it even if your skin is already cleared up, it will come back way worse...is this true? Because if this is the case i wouldnt even try it...If you or anyone you know had this proactive solution kit then any advice is more than welcome.
PS. is it true that mary-kate and ashely olsen use this?

Nothing is going to make your acne come back worse. Usually, it will clear up and if you stop using it the acne will come back and it will seem worse because it hasn't been there in so long! Does that make sense? Also- your best bet is when you run out to get a regular facewash that is 2% salicylic acid and use it every morning and night. This has done WONDERS for my skin ever since grade school :)

I used Proactive in the past for a period of a year and a half. At first, it works wonder, clear up every single blemishes I have on my face. Over the period of one year however, with continue use of course, it started to lose effectiveness. Then several months afterward, still continue using it, my face is back to how it was before I used it, not sure if it's worse than before or not but it's not any better.
Try checking out acne.org, it's a forum where other acne sufferers shares what works and what's not for them, from mild case to extreme case. I originally started out with the method suggested by the website but then the process revolve as I discover more about my skin to form my own specific routine. Good luck

I personally used pro active and i didnt like it, it made my acne worse, different people get different results but if u have a minor acne problem try and use benzaclin, its in a gel form and runs around 30$ for a jar which will last about 6 months. it does actually work and i have known alot of people that recommend it. Its for minor acne, proactive is not for bad acne but it may make it worse. The benzaclin just treats the acne you have and does not make it worse. Try and talk to a dermatologist. They treat anyone with any case of acne plus its always good to go bc they give u suggestions to help your face.

Yes! I tried it! After 3 weeks of using it! (Use it every morning and night!) I lost all my acne! In just three weeks! F*ck the people who said no, they don't know ****! I have I bought it (well through TV) they send me a package each month! And I'm happy! It did take care of my acne problem! only takes 5 minutes to put on your face for morning and night... So yes! Other acne products can't compare, but they are good at tricking people at advertisement like: We cost less than proactive, and look how better our product is compared to these other acne treatments... And it wasn't even written proactive from the other acne companies, it's like a trick, people would think that it is better and cheaper than proactive, but it isn't, it's cheaper, but worse... LOL! nice trick, at first it tricked me, but second time I saw the commercial, lol, I caught it! LOL! So yes it works! F*ck the no's! And f*ck the thumbs down, because it worked for me, for others who did bought and said it didn't work that's because you were so lazy of putting it on and only put it on rare occasions, wishing that it would work miracles... Just having it does nothing, putting it on each day and night, it works wonders! IT WORKS!

I bought proactive three years ago and use it daily.. it still hasn't help my face at all.... I am actually writting the company to get my money back for a promise they couldn't keep... I am going back on Face pills... this is the best thing out there.. especially if you would like to stop someday... it doesn't cause more acne because of stopping either

Proactive is just an overpriced version of other acne treatments you can buy at any drugstore. The active ingredients are just the same. So why would you pay $40 for stuff you can get at less than half that price?
Yes, it will work, for most people. But it's no better than other benzoyl peroxide brands. Just a lot of hype. You're paying for the advertising.

My son uses it and has for a few years now, so does my neice. And it works really well but it does not work for everyone. It is however, worth a try!
Once you start using it and it works for you, why would you want to stop? Acne does not go away forever until your an adult. And even then us older ladies still get it once in awhile..LOL..
Can acne come back worse? Not usually, but it can come back if you quit using a product that is working..

It is very time consuming and you have to do it consistantly. If you have that kind of time, it works. I have a kit, and I used it for a while. I just don't have time for that long routine. When I quit using it, it didn't get worse, though. It just stayed the same.
I switched birth control pill brands and now I hardly have any acne. Thank god, because I hated dealing with it.

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

Instead of going for neutrogena or the proactive one, there is one effective treatment. But you have to be patient, the best part is it doesnt have any side effects and not only that it removes acne problems permanantly. Try homeopathic treatment. I have tried and it was succesful for me. Now im using another homeopathic ointment for my burns on my leg. ITs really good and i recommend it.
