Once you have all the purple seeds out are you supposed to just chew them and then spit out the hard seed parts? Or just eat the whole thing? Any nutritional value in the seed part?

No, no nutritional value and rather a lot of tannin and other bitter compounds... Spit them out as gracefully as you can..

To make eating them easier, cut your pomegranate in half and smack the back (skin) side with a soup- or wooden spoon. The little yummy seed will pop out and not get your fingers all red!

Best wishes.

Eat the whole seed. Don't think there is much nutrition in the seed itself, but it is definately fiber, which is great for your body.

I can not believe people don't eat the whole thing. I never even thought that would be something people do. The seeds aren't that hard, and if you have a spoonful at a time you dont even taste the seed.

I guess really you just do what you prefer.

You don't have to eat the seeds and they probably have no nutritional value but they are actually pretty good tasting.

I've eaten them sometimes and others I just suck the juice out and throw away the seed. That is the most time consuming fruit I've ever eaten.

Most people eat the whole thing, it takes time to take out the white kernel part; and it does not matter if you eat it anyway.

I think you can just eat the whole of it (without the skin, I mean). It tastes ok when I have it. But you can extract the juice aswell. It depends on how you like it.
