Indifferent because hatred brings violence and sorrow.

Religion is belief. Should you hate belief? Makes no sense.

You should love what is good and hate what is bad.

If a specific religion/belief is bad you should hate it. If a specific religion/belief is good you should love it.

If you are indifferent then either you cannot tell the difference between good and bad or you don't care. Either way is not good.

However regardless of how you feel about regious beliefs you should have at least a degree of love and respect for all humans. Individuals have no right to label others as good or bad since we can only know what we see not what is in their heart.

People can and should be punished for bad actions. But that is for the action. There is the potential for good or bad actions in all people. And we know people can be misled and mislead themselves.

The hating of anything demonstrates a failure of imagination, furthermore it wastes emotional energy. In my opinion it is much worse to hate, in the case of religion this hate can morph into discrimination and prejudice. Indifference might be of slight ignorance but it is not likely to cause harm. Hate almost always hurts. As the first answer demonstrates, the user is indifferent to Christianity(it does not bother either way) while the user hates Islam, now there is something to worry about.

Much better to be indifferent but actively keep it in check when possible.

To be indifferent is to not care but to hate means you care a lot.

It's worse to actively hate it. But then what's to hate? If you don't like religion leave it alone.

Worse? I'm not sure what you mean.

But I can tell you this. The people who are indifferent were raised without religion at all. The people who actively hate it are almost always from deeply religious homes.

if you are indifferent to religion then you are being passive to that which you dont like, i think its worse to be indifferent than to show your true feelings.

Actively hating a religion is pointless....It doesn't get us anywhere. But religious open-mindedness is good.....especially among theists. I think people should study all the religions before picking one. Not just staying in the one you grew up with and assuming its the "correct" one.

Indifference is worse than any sin in the world short of ignorance.

We must HATE that which is evil.
