And what has he done to back that claim up? Two Busch championships? One or two wins here or there a season over his whole cup career? If he didn't have his last name he would have about the same fan base of a Jeff Burton or Greg Biffle. Just look at any driver that gets in a DEI car, they are loved to death by the Earnhardt nation but as soon as they are out of that ride they aren't cheered for so loudly anymore. On another note look at what Jr did a year ago when they gave Mikey his crew and cars. Nothing. He was so bad they screwed the season Mikey was having and gave the stuff back to Dale. If he was the greatest driver then equipment wouldn't have made him so bad since we've seen drivers like his dad take a non winning car and put it in victory lane. If you are going to make a claim like that then you need to back it up with something. Even Jimmie Johnson has already become a greater driver than Jr. Popularity doesn't make you the best driver out there.

Ummm yea.
Tony Stewart I would have to say.
2 Camps in 7 years.
The only rookie driver EVER to win 3 races first year.
The ONLY driver EVER to race The Coke Cola 600 and Indi 500 in the Same day and finish both races. And he did this twice! 1999 9th and 4th and 2001 6th and 3rd.
Won 6 races in 2000 and broke record for most wins by a second-year driver.
He has 11 Championships in total.
This is his stats:
24 wins
10 poles (which he doesn't try to get and will admit this)
94 top-fives
149 top 10's
all in 248 career starts
Hmmm......
And mind you if the Nextel was not set up the way it is he would have won the Cup this year as well.

Lil e is not the best .tony Stewart mite be just look at the stats.Lil e hes not done any thing to prove he is a great driver .ok so he won a daytona 500 or two that is Cos dei worked so hard on restrcter plat tracks.

yeah his the best at hitting the wall and cheating his way through the series other than that what have you been watching i know it wasn't jr. must have been dreaming if you think that he's that great. face it the only reason why people like him is his dad. if his dad was still around he wouldn't have that many fans pulling for him. you qwant to see one of the vest people in the series look at the ones thta have won the cup. how many has jr won 0 and he never will. the truth hurts don't it

I can remember a time when Jr drove the #3 Mom and Pops sponsored Chevy in the Late model stock Division. He was only good because he had Daddys money backing him with out that he would have only been as good as the others that raced aginst him. Oh and by the way the race I saw him race in he wrecked out. Taco Bell 300 at Martinsville VA

Oh Yeah and he has a Cup to show for it too doesn't he?, Oh wait no, I guess he doesn't. But Jeff Gordon- he has four. And he has won more races than ANY OTHER ACTIVE driver, Jeff that is. And Jeff didn't make it there because of his Daddy, He made it there because he is so dang good. Also he didn't have to wreck anyone out to do it either. Wow, I guess Jr, AKA BOOZER THE LOOSER, isn't that great after all.
