The only place I can put it is in a room Im hardly in and I dont want to leave her in there alone. Is there a way I can hang it in another doorway that doesnt have a frame? Im in that room most of the day and I want her in there with me so I can watch her.

I know that Angel thats why Im trying to find another way of hanging it on one without a frame so that it WILL hold. I want her in the room where I am at and not in the dining room where the frame is. Or the bedrooms. They are too far away from me and I cant leave her alone! The rooms where her older brother and I are at do not have frames, just open doorway.

Safety first. Those things are meant to be put up on a doorway with a frame, because the frame keeps it up. Otherwise, it might fall off, and down goes baby. You don't have to leave her in it all day... so why don't you just set aside 15 minutes or 1/2 hour a couple times a day to spend playing with her and watching her play in the room where it will actually be safe?

No the frame is what holds it up. Take it back to the store and get her the Fisher-Price Jumeroo it has it own free standing frame and you can move it from room to room and will hold a child up to 25 pounds. My son loves his the attached toys and music sometimes he jumps so hard and fast I think he will give himself a concussion but he just laughs and his doctor says its perfectly fine. It also helped him build up great leg muscles they run about 50-60 dollars much more then the ones that attach to the door frames but are so worth the price if not just for the fact you don't risk it falling and hurting your child.

Unfortunately, I've yet to figure that out. There was only one door frame in my old house, like you it was out of the way. Depending on how thick your walls are I'm sure you'll be fine.

The space I put my Jump Up in was about 6" wide. It stayed securely and it never moved. Just make sure you keep an eye on it. Best of Luck. I wish the box would have clarified that BEFORE I bought it.

I should also add--I only had it up a couple times. My son loves to jump but he hated the Jump Up. I agree you should just sell the thing or return it. There's a "Jumperoo" out there now that I hear is great.

You can either put up a frame or you can get a stud finder and find a ceiling beam and attach a hook to the beam in the ceiling. You then hang a chain from the hook that you attach to the Jumper. Your local hardware store should be able to tell you what hook and chain are rated for 50lbs or more.

Also you can buy Jumpers with a portable "A" frame.

I bought a jumperoo. It is the same concept, but it sits on the floor, sorta like an entertainer. I love my sons, it is a horse and makes all these cute noises and plays neat songs. I posted a link for a similar item. Hope this helps

The frame is what supports the device. So no, you cannot hang it without the lip that the frame provides.

you need the frame to hold it up so I would sell it and get on that's made for the floor.
