I can't concentrate at work. As a results I am making dumb mistakes and it is embarrassing. I feel my co-workers will not trust me with tasks if this keeps up. It seems that my brain is moving so fast that before I complete one task, I am already thinking of the next task. No matter how busy or slow my workload is. That leaves me to complete a task, but it is not accurately completed. Please help as with each mistake it brings me down more and more. I am smart, but from all these mistakes I look dumb.

It might just be stress related. Don't feel alone, I do this from time to time and I bet most people do. Just try to relax, get more sleep at night and tell yourself you are going to do one thing at a time and not start something else till' this task is complete. Check your work! There are somedays I know I have to double check my work and review what it is I just did other wise I find mistakes later that make more of a head ache but I ussually don't catch my mistakes for days or week later.

Do not be too hard on yourself for mistakes made - big deal everyone makes mistakes just try to learn from them! If it is really causing you a lot of greif you might need to take a day or two off work to get things back in order with yourself.

Remember everyone has their good days and bad.

Take amino acids. There is a book called "depression free for life" If you email me (mrdoolittle906605@yahoo.com), I can tell you who the author is. The book is at home and I am at work but the author shows you a way to take amino acids to deal with concentration and depression without medication which sucks. Take the following:
1. Fish Oil
2. 5-htp
3. Glutamine.
4. Melatonin at night

Good luck

One of the best things for concentration is something I take myself and have recommended to others - they all said it helped them - and that is DMAE, available at any health food store. This is basically what is in the product focus factor, if you have seen those adds, but it is only something less than $10 and a bottle will last a month at least if you take it every day.

Read about Attention Deficit Disorder, especially a book addressing adults with this disorder. Whether you have it or not, you can find strategies to deal with distraction, and stay on task.
