Sounds to me like its time to get a little more serious with him. Keep dating him, but start talking about making more of a commitment with him. I think you both know what you each want now. Its time to take it another step..... Good Luck.

If you have been dating on and off it means that something is wrong. If your parents dislike your friend there must be a reason. My only advice is take a good look and your relationship do not deny his flaws because you like him then make your decision based on facts and not the opinions of others.

don't let others be the judge of your life. if you love this guy and you know in your heart you want to be with him then go for it. after that the pieces will all start to come together. life short live it to the fullest. if you set around looking for the perfect guy you may lose out and not realizes he's right in front of you and that would be a life wasted

Why did you two agree to start dating other people? You sound perfect for each other. Now that you tried it, and neither of you are happy, get back together....you're just wasting time away from each other.

Try to keep dating him. But personally from my experience it never works out after the first time you break up with them like that. Good Luck!

If you love him, what is the harm in trying to get back together? The worst thing that can happen is it does not work out. Good luck.

Seems like your mutual decision to see other people showed you that you actually want each other. Get back together! It seems like all you two ever think about is each other.

Go for what you want and need. You can't let other people tell you who to pick for a mate in your life. What do you mean when you say you love him? Are you emotionally addicted to him? Is he what and/or who you want in your life?
