I know how you feel. My friends tell me that I need to stand up for myself more, but I'm just not a very confrontational person. I guess all I can say is to stop helping them if they don't appreciate it. They may just find out how much they should appreciate you once you're not there to help them. So yeah, try and say no more often, but I know it's hard.

Well, if your anything like me, it's because I don't like to ask anything of others, in turn people usual come to me first because they know if I help them, I won't want anything in return. Now how do you stop it.....Well you could be an @sshole like everyone else, or be like me, and just put up with it, knowing one day......what goes around comes around. (Plus I'd REALLY like to go to heaven one day, so I try to be as helpful as possible, not that it's easy sometimes.)
