It doesn't make any sense...

Yes, many of you are explaining the concept of the triune god, which I understand. None of you are giving any indication as to WHY he sacrificed himself to himself?
Father K, your link was very good at explaining the trinity, but did not deal with my question.

Even in our judicial system, if a person does something wrong, justice demands restitution - if a person steals, they go to jail or pay the fine. God, being holy and just cannot be around sin - you can get a small glimmering of how horrible sin is to God if you think of the horrific actions of say a pedophile - it's disgusting. God being is infinite, so even the 'smallest' of sins are more disgusting than we could imagine. Payment or restitution of our sins requires a punishment of death - death being defined as separation from God.

Payment for our sins, because of the magnitude and enormous number of sins, could only be paid by a perfect human with infinite capabilities. Jesus, fully human, fully God, was the only one who could pay the penalties for our sins. He did so because He loves us and the alternative would have been to abandon us. He died with the entirety of all the sins ever committed or that will ever be committed on His shoulders. He rose from the dead in victory over death so that we might have eternal life with Him There is no greater love - and the mystery of His sacrifice is explained in one word - love.

Jesus is Godhead!
3 personages who reign in heaven
Jesus is emmanual, God with us!
He made the sacrifice to His Father which pleased all creation.
therefore his sacrifice can be said to be given to all the children of adam and Noah
But when the book of genesis says that the gods made man in their image Male and female, there were more to the godhead than just the Father and the Son. there were the realms of angelic creations as well, who are interpreted as the gods with God. but the difference is between Jesus and the angels is that Jesus was the ONLY begotten who is Saviour and Messiah

As a christian, there are MANY things about God, Jesus, The Bible that I don't fully understand or comprehend...things that don't make sense to me as a human being. I believe that Jesus = God and I believe that my tiny, little, pea brain will never be able to fully understand the infinite wisdom of the Almighty, omnipotent Creator of the Universe. As a human being, I will never have the capacity to do so. I try not to burden myself with the questions that may never be answered. I try to focus on achieving Gods Will for me and leave the details up to Him. If it is meant for me to understand and there is some Greater purpose for me to know the answers to these questions, He will reveal them to me Himself or bring someone into my life that will help me understand. Don't let the unanswered questions keep you from seeking Him!

Jesus is not God. Jesus is the son of God, but God spoke to his people through his son, Jesus Christ. I don't know where the others got the idea that Jesus is God, but they are wrong. God sacrificed his only begotten son for our sins, so that we could continue to live and to serve.

You have to read the New Testament books of all 4 gospels, Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians and 1 John for it to really make sense. The answer to this question cannot be contained in the short space we have here.

You are right, it makes no sense to me either; all those times when Jesus is talking about His Father. It is only logical to me they are different people. This is what most people believed until around 325 AD when the Catholic church decided it would be easier if they were all the same being. Then, most of the religions today are just break-offs/break-aways from the Catholic church and retained this doctrine.

Jesus is not god , he's not the son of god too
Jesus is just a propht of god same as all other prophets
he was created by god same like adam without a father
jesus never said that he's god or the son of god
that's a great disbelief for god

Correct!
Jesus didn't do that.
But, Jehovah, God, did create Jesus as his first creation. And together they created everything else!
Working with God's power, Jesus worked miracles, and his sacrifice (his life) gained him eternal life as "A" God. But not the supreme being that Jehovah, his father is.

People overlook the fact that "A" God........cannot die.

Because He loves us so much.
John 15:13
Greater love have no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.

He died for our transgressions and sins. He died so that we could be come free from the serpent seed. The whole purpose is that we could all become children of God, sons and daughters of God like Jesus Christ.
