Boy, you just made up some stuff there and stereotyped all ministers didn't you. Judging from the face on your avatar, something in your past pissed you off and now you have to attack Christians to make yourself feel better. Wow, you might want to rethink taking therapy for your anger issues.

Because they are preaching for their own benefit.
Today's Christian knows better. Those studying the bible usually know more than these back-yard small followers congregations.
Even the big televangelists that pack in the crowds deviate from the truth.
If you open your ears, you will leave the Church's of the lie-rs.
God never gets to spend a nickle of preachers recites. He....doesn't need money.

They are hypocrites, plain and simple. Sometimes, people are huge advocates to oppose things they do in their personal lives because they are messed up and think that their public efforts will cancel out their private/secret lives. If some of these people grew up and were told that it was okay to be homosexual, then perhaps they would have found their soul mates and had monogamous healthy relationships instead. As for the drugs, greed, affairs, and pedophilia, there is not excuse for that.

Well...it's a....
"Do as I say, not as I do" kinda thing...........
And then again they always say:
"Those who can (live a righteous life) do, and those who can't, teach".....LOL
Personally, I've taught my daughter to fear policemen and clergy.....
What people don't understand is that even "one" instance of abuse is far too much. Look at what happened to the congressman from Florida. He was molested by his priest, and then, some 35 years later, he starts abusing congressional pages....now, in 20 years, who will all those boys abuse?? The problems keep expanding like the circles of a pond-ripple. The fact that people are willing to give these people the benefit of the doubt because they are clergy is really scary.
Namaste,

If they are a true Christian they wouldn't be "bashing" anything, but everyone is entitled to disagree with certain behaviors, especially if they believe God has stated clearly regarding such behavior. Lastly, are you perfect? I don't think you will find a Christian who says they are perfect, and I'm pretty sure you will find plenty of sick people outside of Christianity also. Odds are, there are more non-Christians snortin', cheating, sleeping around, etc. It's just that people often hold Christians to a higher standard.

Any "Real" Christian minister would not be doing these things,, They speak against them, because in the Christian faith, they are all sins..
And as for "giving up their life savings" any truly Christian minister does not do that either, because the only thing God asks for 10% as a tithe, of the Good Fortune that he has bestowed upon you as his child... Doesn't always have to be money... Give 10% of the kindness in you heart that he has given you to someone who truly needs it..

An alcoholic knows that drinking is wrong, but he keeps falling into it's clutches. Christian ministers, like everyone else, deal with temptations everyday. Sometimes they overcome the temptation, and sometimes the temptation overcomes them. Does that mean that Ministers should not preach on sin? No, not at all. Who knows more about how bad something is than the one who has to fight it daily. Christians are not perfect, just forgiven.

I haven't heard of any "Christian Ministers", But of Evangelical and Catholic Priests. They are supposed to be preaching the bible. The bible says it is a sin to have sex with anyone other than the opposite sex. Be fruitfull and multiply. You are not supposed to do anything that harms the body. You are supposed to treat it as a temple. Tything is not so you can go to heaven, It is to go towards the church.

Because not every minister is doing so... And the ones that are, well then there going to hell, there going against Gods word, and there not true to what they say. But just because some people do so does not mean that everybody is

Sure some are doing that, but a lot aren't. I think a better question would be why are these christian groups not getting as upset at seeing someone living in poverty as they are at the mere mention of homosexuality. After all Christ actually mentioned poverty.

I've gotta agree with Bubba there. He IS an alchoholic. But besides that your pemise is therefore, "If you have ever committed one sin in ALL your life that you should NEVER preach or claim Christianity again." Does that sound like where you were going with this question? Because if it is you need to hit that pipe one more time and see if it sounds as stupid to you as it does to me.
