There is an old adage that pertains to many facets of life, but really works HERE: When you least expect it, expect it.
One never knows when Cupid will get you with an arrow.
Unfortunately people tend to look for the wrong person in the wrong places, and for the wrong reason(s). Lowering your expectations and go where your heart leads as opposed to where the drinks are strongest.
Remember this, also: Love attracts Love. Can you be in love if you don't love yourself? Real love, not narcissistic arrogance. If you have love in you, it will radiate; you will shine like a beacon to the very people you try to reach...even the 'chubby geek in the corner'.
Further: Love is Blind. Yes...it is! Can you let close your eyes and let your heart drive for awhile? Can you, really? Then what if old 'chubby geek in the corner' is what your heart decides is right for you? Hmmmm....or is shallowness your credo? If so, then Love will elude you, and you will find the wrong person every time.
"If music be the food of love, play on!"
"All you need is love; love is all you need."

Its because your trying to date on the internet. Boo! Thats not how you get a mate silly. I have a good idea...get out of your chair, put on a coat and a smile, go outside (be Brave, you can DO it!) then its time to Really meet someone. Guess what, there are Real ppl out there, dont be scared. Talk to a real person and youll get a real date, rejection is a part of life, you cant win em all, so just give it a shot.

It just takes time to meet the right person. Some people say the dating sites do work, but the best way to meet people is just to get out there. (Pubs, join a group/hobbies that you enjoy) Good luck.

There HAS to be a better way to get a date than to connect with strangers on the net. That seems to be a difficult undertaking and a risky one to boot.

Well maybe you should try being patient and see what comes along. In the meantime do things that you enjoy doing. Take up a hobby or two. Be active and maybe someone will come along.

well that's a good thing. people aren't settling. think about it. where ever you go, you can meet someone. whether it's at the cleaners, post office, fast food, library, etc. think about it. but dont look for love sought of concentrate on other things and it will come your way.

Cause we have the internet to take care of our "socializing" needs and we are incredibly picky.
