Well, I am a latina girl and was raised in Venezuela, South America, and over there sometimes when u go out with a girl and hold hands with her, you are already boyfriends, no need for the question to be asked, but I am at United States now and I've been going out with this man for about 2 months, and we make out, we hold hands. But he hasn't asked me.
I know over here is different, but i'm not sure If I should consider him my boyfriend or not yet.

well it sounds like you two are already together & if this has been goin on for 2 months then i think you two are. Just give him hints & try and ask him if you two are together...If you do you wont stress it so much when you know!

If you have been going out for more than a few weeks and you make out and hold hands, then I would consider him a boyfriend. I mean there's not much else he could be except a friend with benefits, but I don't think that's what you want. Maybe you should hint to him that you want to know if you two are friends or girlfriend/boyfriend b/c it sounds like you are but you haven't made it official. You don't have to have sex to be considered boyfriend/girlfriend.

If I were you I would ask... there just times that assuming just isn't the answer. Ask him how he feels about the relationship and if he see' it moving forward. I know it sounds as if you interrogating him but believe me it will answer your question.
Like one of your comment-ee said most guys (not all) are just out for sex. They'll put up any front to get to their goal. From experience, I give you this advice.

In the U. S. whether or not you're having sex is not the issue. As to whether or not he's your boyfriend try asking him. A friend of mine suggested that I ask a guy I dated once in a joking manner if he was my boyfriend. It seemed to be a good techinique. good luck

Its hard to say. Cause some guys won't ask and just assume that you are his girl and he is your guy. But other guys will ask you. You should just ask him what he thinks you guys are. That is the only for sure way for you to know.

You're right, there is no particular ritual here to designate boyfriend girlfriend status. Your best bet is to ask him how he views your relaitonship.
