Who/what makes the decision about what we reincarnate as?

Can I get in touch with such an entity prior to my death in this lifetime?

Your goal should be not to reincarnate - but to merge with the entity you are trying to get in touch. i.e. to obtain Moksha.

You make that decision. Or rather, your higher self makes the decision on the challenges needed in your next existence. Your higher self is the consciousness of every event and every thought of every life you have lived and awareness of how your actions touched the lives of others.

Human brains aren't equipped to encompass the awareness of the higher self, but you can communicate with the eternal you through meditation, self analysis and even dreams.

In the eternal scheme of things, there is no such thing as "bad karma". All karma is positive and constructive. All karma is enlightenment, a gift you give yourself.

Whatever your karma dictates that you need to grow spiritually you will receive when the appropriate time comes. You didn't come here to worry about reincarnation so you should be focused on this life and not what happens in an afterlife.

"Sow an action, reap a habit. Sow a habit, reap a character. Sow a character, reap a destiny."
