how long have dentists had freezing?

Since hell froze over. No seriously...it can be cold around the winter months...I personally haven't had freezing but my assistants are always complaining about freezing. I have never used freezing on teeth...I have used endo ice which is used to check tooth vitality.

Just a couple of questions up, several people answered that procaine was invented in 1905, so I guess that means about 100 years. It was NOT widely used, though, until the 1940's or 1950's. Modern chemicals replaced procaine in the late 1950's and early 1960's and a lot more dentists started to use it on a routine basis then.

I don´t have that, you mean liquid Nitrogen? I´ve heard a friend use it to numb soft tissue before injecting the xilocaine... but is not practical, he uses it because his brother is a dermathologist and work in the same office.
