There are more Violence Sex Drunkeness Incest Murder, and Torture in cartoons.

So before keeping the kids from reading the bible you may wants to keep them from watching cartoons. Then the bible and then keep them lock up in the room until they are 25 or maybe to be on the safe side 35 years old.

Something to thinks about... mmmmmm ..

With all the violence, sex, drunkenness, incest, murder, and torture on earth, do you think kids should be allowed to live here?

These things were in the Bible to prove points, and teach moral lessons. Unlike the issues we deal with today in the media and such, which don't usually provide any moral lesson at all.

Of course they should read it because that is the way the world is. They need to know what's really going on out there. The Bible makes it clear though that those things are not right for us to do though. If you can let kids watch TV and play video games then the Bible is OK. It teaches them not do to those same things.

The Bible is an adult book and should not be in the hands of the under aged, and certainly, not a female.
Besides the story of the descendants of Abraham, there is visious gossip, propaganda, and a river of slurs aimed at women. (streams of death) The Bible teaches male supremacy.
The mans Holy Grail. Maybe it just should have - 666- , printed on the traditional black cover. Did you notice that Priests and Judges wear black robes?

I think the incidences of that reflect HUMAN history, regardless of religion, whether your child should read the bible or not depends on their level of understanding of the world we live in, also, most of that stuff, even though kids are pretty perceptive, goes over their head anyways. I would personally wait until my child is old enough to decide on their own whether they want to read the bible or not.

First:
Let me thank you for the 2 points.
Second:
Let me point out that the violence mentioned in the Bible is never mentioned in glowing terms of approval.
It happened, was recorded, never approved of.
If that thought also enters the mind of youth ....hey!

You do realize that questions like this are the primary cause for dissention and anger in this group.

If you are not trying to make people angry, please don't send posts like this. This is not even close to being accurate about the Bible.

Unless you enjoy stirring things up.
