You never realize what you put your family through. When you commit this heinous act. My twin brother committed suicide. I miss you, brother.

If your out there, friend, and you know who you are, read these words. Ultimately you will do what gives you peace. But always remember, the dark is never as dark as it seems.

First of all it's one of the surest ways to go to hell. It's one of the most difficult sins for God to forgive. That in it's self should be reason enough to not do it. Next, some people think it will punish other people with guilt for hurting them. Remember this, 5 years later people will get over it and move on, however you will still be dead. Don't ever let the bastards beat you. Pick yourself up dust yourself off and become what YOU want to be. If you can't shake the people and problems then move out of the area or state and start over. Nothing like a fresh start to put a little spring in your life. At any given time any person can snap their fingers and change their life right then and there. It may sound like BS, but it's true. Very true. I know, I've done it.

I think most people who think about or attempt suicide are just very mentally ill and don't realize what they're doing, they think it's the only way out. Even those twisted people who kill a bunch of other people and then themselves. There is obviously something mentally wrong there. It's also possible that the people who attempt it but aren't successful are crying for help. Someone who survives a suicide attempt should not be ignored though.

I've had thoughts of suicide without wanting them and I've intentionally hurt myself for the attention. This was a very long time ago and I've gotten better since then but from my personal experiences I believe that being suicidal is a mental disorder just like OCD or depression.

I'm very sorry to hear about your brother, I understand it must be very hard for you. Hang in there, things can only get better when you're at the bottom.

I was once in so much PHYSICAL pain that I was hitting my head trying to knock myself out, just to put an end to the excrutiating pain that my body was feeling. This was not and is not normal behaviour for me (believe it or not) but I was in such a state of distress that I wanted it to end at any means possible.
I believe suicide to be something similar. When the soul is in so much pain, the person will take that violent step to put an end to it. After losing friends & family to suicide (both very different situations and personailities) I've wondered endlessly about what makes a person cross this line & i often thought that it was either you can or you can't do it, you know, you're that type of person or not but I now believe everyone can have a breaking point. It is a whole lot different looking from the outside in and I wish I could somehow help anyone in this situation to just wait til tomorrow.. one day at a time.

Yes, suicide is one of the most selfish acts imaginable and the easy way out for pathetic cowards! Things are never as bad as they seem.

Sorry to hear about your brother One. I hope this message reaches the intended target.

Merry Christmas!

powerful words.......................sorry to hear that.... the answer is both.... you must understand though sometimes a person may see no other way out.... see i don't know the circumstances but i almost got there once after i was molested.... i couldn't stop thinking about it and got in such a dark place the only thing i thought i could do to make it go away was suicide.... people who commit suicide don't realize that it will all be over someday so just hang on and wait for brighter days..... so so sorry

Wow! You aske this question in a Singles and Dating category. Is it that bad for you? Anyway, suicide is extremely personal and tragic. You never know what goes on inside the heart and mind of another person. I hope no one I know and love would attempt it before talking to me. I would try to do everything in my power to convince them to live, if not for themselves, for me.
