You can have all the exercise equipment in the world, but the main thing needed for keeping fit at home is...DETERMINATION!!
Try and "mix it up" a bit..some days work out at home, other days go for a run or brisk walk. I can already hear you screaming "But it's freezing outside!" but once you start you'll warm up..promise! f you can, find a workout buddy
Instead of sticking to the same workout routine (if you get bored, your body won't benefit) try to find an exercise DVD that incorporates lots of different things. I was given a double DVD for my birthday, Work It '06; not only does it have LOTS of different workout routines, from aerobics to yoga, but it also allows you to design your own workout. And the music is very funky!
Yoy can get the DVD from the links below...Good Luck!

House work apparently is very good exercise. Get some books or videos of different work outs you can do. Kickboxing, aerobics, tai-chi, yoga. There are so many for you to choose. Go into HMV, Virgin, Amazon.com or Play.com and do a search for some.
Go jogging, gardening, walking up and down the stairs, leaving things deliberately in rooms so you have to walk around and get them
With fitness routines, you need to have variety and do things you want to do, otherwise you'll stop trying.

The exercise required to keep one fit shud normally be built into one schedule. Thus if a person walks to the place where he works he wud normally have all the physical exercise required to burn the calories and keep his bodily functions in fit condition. Unfortunately with every rise in our so called prosperity we tend to move away from physical effort and hence rowing mechanism etc. Such gadgets do tend to become boring.

I buy DVD's for exercising. That way I feel like I have someone in the room with me. I exercise with Richard Simmons and Billy Blanks. I use to run on a track and go walking. Walking is a good exercise and cost nothing.

Go to the gym..... excercising at home doesn't work. It doesn't motivate you and you get lazy. My bird tried to tell me she could excersise in the house...... I sent that lazy ho down to the gym.
