Your not out there long enough. Ya gotta be patient. Always take puppy to the same place everytime and praise it when it does its business. You did'nt mention how old the pup was.
Good luck!

Scold him as soon as he does it, show him what he did wrong, and take him outdoors immediately and set him in the grass where he should go. Also, you can pretty much know when he is going to poop, so walk him around outdoors til he does, and when he does it outdoors, give him lots of praise.
Don't ever punish him for pooping inside if you find it after the fact....only when you catch him in the act.

Just as everyone else has said, you are not leaving him outside long enough. Try staying out a few minutes after he pees. Keep encouraging him to go potty . . or go poop . . or whatever phrase you want to use. If he still goes as soon as you get back him, take him back out right away and tell him potty outside. Good luck!

Keep him out longer and give him a treat every time he poops outside. When he poops inside, no treat.

Don't come back in until he has gone. It may take a while. My puppy usually waits 10 mintues between each one. And make sure you give a treat for when he goes outside, then he knows that's where he's supposed to go.

Mine does the same thing sometimes. I've decided that it is just too cold for her outside, since she has just started this behavior. Seems as if she just wants to come in and poop in the warmth.
I first thought I wasn't giving her enough time, but she is the one that goes running for the door.

Hahaha... I know it's probably not funny for you, but that's so strange. I've never heard a dog doing that. Do you discipline him when he does it? I would discipline him, in a low, stern voice and send him back outside so he knows he's supposed to do that outside.
