Yes, most definitely, as I discovered after posting a perfectly innocent questsion about my LEGAL immigrant husband. I have to admit I got a lot of positive and supportive answers, but there were a few less than savoury responses that were frankly quite appaulling and racist, not to mention absurd and stupid. HTH : )

Sure it is but there are also people who just want the problem of illegal immigration ended for good reasons and that doesn't mean we are hateful. I can understand why people come here illegally and if the shoe was on the other foot I may try it too but that doesn't make it good or right. It is a problem that must be fixed by the government as they are what creates the problem. Stiff penalties against people who encourage the illegal activities is the best way to fix the problem but people who commit the crime of coming here have to also be held responsible for their actions.

Guess you haven't beein the Spirituality and Religion section lately, huh?
Yes, there are a lot of hate mongers. But mostly it's just people who are tired of a double standard. On one hand you can't do this or do that because it's illegal. On the other hand, yeah, it's illegal but we're turning our heads the other way. People are tired of it. Were will always be racists and people who will call someone racist because they express their views on an issue. The trouble is, this really isn't a race issue at all and I wish we could get away from thinking it is. It's a legal issue. Unfortunately there is a lot of one particular race on one side of the fence (so to speak) and some make it about that instead of sticking to the real reason.

It sure looks that way. Depending on where they live and what illegal immigrants are in their area there is an unlimited number of people who go to a lot of effort to say something hateful about the immigrants that are common in their area.

The weird thing is that they repetitively do that so evidently reporting by the people who are being slurred has no impact on them.

Not so much now as there was a few months ago. Mexico and Mexican "bashing" should not be tolerated. I feel that some of the crazy notions about shooting illegal border crossers come from young kids who know nothing about the issues of immigration...just looking to agitate the other nut cases out there.

Yes, and I agree with hold em rox.....there sure are a lot of anti-Americans on this forum. Maybe they would be happier on the Mexico section of Yahoo Answers instead. THIS section is for the United States.

Definitely. I'm just glad these people have no real power in this country. If they did,we would probably have slavery again, segregation, lynchings, and similar things from the past. I seriously doubt they would do anything about the immigration issue if given the opportunity, they much rather hide behind the computer and insult people.
