If you are talking about a blank W-2 form, you can find it on the IRS website. They will only have the current year (2006) and the previous year (2005). The IRS also issues a series of book called the Package X that has copies of every individual and corporate tax forms. Accountants usually get copies of these books from the IRS. You can check with them to see if they will be willing to make you a copy. There are also a ton of tax research sources (i.e. RIA, CCH, etc.) that has forms libraries for their subscribers.

If you are talking about a completed Form W-2 for yourself, showing your earnings for that year, you will need to contact your employer.

As Jseah114 pointed out, the best way to get past W-2s is to ask your former employer. If that is impossible, you may file a freedom of information request with the IRS Service Center where you file your returns. They will charge you for searching and copying. The flat fee for a copy of a tax return is $39. See IRS form 4506.

mattapan26 is confused. The freedom of information act does not apply to tax returns. $39.00 is the fee for a COPY of your own tax return. If you only need the information, a tax transcript is available at no charge. The link below has instructions for ordering both. The IRS will mail you the information. The only way you MAY be able to find it on-line is if your employer allows you to access it though their site. Ask them first.

Edit: I can log in to my employers site (with a password) and view MY W-2s from 2004 to current.
