No, but I think it is delayed guilt feelings. If you accept the gospel accounts as having any objective validity rather than being just fables, then Jesus was killed by the Jews. But a detail in the story is the infamous 'Blood libel' - the passage where Pilate wants to release Jesus, but the Jews demand his blood, and accept responsibility for it for all future generations. This has been used as an excuse for persecution of the Jews, as 'Christ-killers' for centuries.

For one, I'm not Christian, but I have to answer this one... Christians are caught up in the philosophy that the Jews killed Jesus and are therefore evil. Wasn't Jesus himself the King of the Jews? And did the Jews nail him to the cross? No, they just betrayed him. That's not killing him. The Romans killed Jesus; pagans that worshipped several Gods killed Jesus. The Jews just got a bad rap because of that pesky "New Testament" and the faulty wording.

Jews did killed Jesus, Jews always claim it was Romans. Pontius Pilate was Roman who was Governor presiding over Jesus Trial. Pontius Pilate thought Jesus was unjustly accused . There was Trial with a Jews as Jury, He was found guilty.
Pontius Plate tried to free Jesus , giving the Jews the choice of releasing Barabbas or Jesus. Jews wanted Barabbas freed, . Pontius Pilate plea that Jesus commited no crime that, that he washing his Hands of Jesus. He taken by the crowd and crucified

...Why just single out the Jews? Christ died for sinners and that is all of us.
...See Romans 3:9-10 -
...9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;
...10 as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE;
...We are just as guilty as the Jews and Romans. Jesus was born to die for sinful men and be raised again. All who believe on Him are given eternal life. This was God's salvation plan, read Acts 2:
...22 "Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know--
...23 this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death.
...24 "But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power."
...Paul also said in 1 Timothy 1:15, "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Well Jesus said he laid down his life and no man took it from him. The Jews asked for him to be crucified and the Romans were the ones who put him on the cross. It was a Roman-style killing not a Jewish one.

Because Jesus said no man took his life (John 10:17-18) and we don't want to call him a liar by claiming Jews did.

The answer is political correctness.
However, it is a vast sweeping statement.
Not all Jews, participated in the death of Jesus.
It was particularly the Jewish religious leaders.
The Roman army weren't lilly-white in the affair, either.
