There are no train services for 58hrs over the Christmas period from 20.00hrs Xmas Eve until 06.30 on 27th December. Allegedly this is for "essential engineering work".

Not Sure where you're travelling, but i've just traveled with South West Trains and their message boards say their last scheduled train is at 2200, though check on www.nationalrail.co.uk for you exact journey.

we will not run any trains on Christmas eve , but DEC, 26 it's on and popping.
