Val G. Chocolate liqueurs shouldn't crunch - it's a sign that the liqueur has already started to evaporate which causes sugar crystals to form. One Christmas in Australia I bought liqueur chocolates. I insisted that they should be Swiss. I bought a box from Lindt. Guess what? They had started to crystallise. After inspecting the box I discovered that although they were genuine Lindt, they had been made in little old England. Love Kirschstängeli, (chocolate batons filled with cherry spirit) - just as long as they don't crunch!

Cherry Brandy filled chocolate. I love the crunch as you bite through the sugar lining. And they don't have to be the really expensive ones. I once ate a whole box all by myself - a grown adult! You'd think I'd know better!!! El Cheapo's from a chocolate store sale. They were delicious.

This is a completely honest answer. I only had to read the words 'chocolate liquors' and I felt sickly. My taste buds have a rule of no alcohol and no fruit anywhere near choclate.

Man I sampled some Godiva Chocolate Licquer one time at a store. HOLY GEEZE... keep that stuff away from me because it's too good.

Good I was given load's of them when I was in my teen's so much so now I don't even borther to think of rum vodka gin,brandy or whiskey,i can have a couple of glasses of beer and that is me lot.
that was the best way to learn me lesson over not touching alcohal.
