yes, WICCA is a witches society, who, whether they admit to it or not, worship devils.

You have received a number of insightful answers. Plus a lot of close-minded ignorant ones as well. Typical I am afraid, of those who chose to condemn rather than understand (BTW Christians are not the only ones guilty of this, I don't point fingers). I am hoping that you are looking for an honest answer, not just one that will validate a misconception perpetuated by the intolerant people. Maybe Satanic cults worship demons but, being Wiccan myself, I can tell you plainly & clearly that we DO NOT!! We don't recognize the existance of demons or the devil, so how could we worship something that isn't? We are often accused of invoking "evil spirits", but no self-respecting "witch" would do something like that! Evil exists, but not as demons! Anything remotely like that goes against our principles. That would be like a good Christian asking the devil for help. I hope you are open minded and find what you are looking for.

Well, the way you worded the question, to you probably yes. And I would hazard a guess and say that the answer you choose will probably agree with your personal opinion.

However, the world does not revolve around your personal opinion, thank the Goddess, and to answer your question - no.

Wicca is a legitimate 501c3 religion founded in England and brought to the US. It has a tendency to attract fluffy, white light Christians who no longer find satisfaction in their own spirituality and are looking else where to combine their own Christianity with an earth based spirituality.

But those of us who are actual practitioners are witches who have been practicing long and find Wicca, which overlays witchcraft with spirituality, is a most fulfilling spirituality and is no where near the goodness and white light stuff that most Wiccabes make it out to be.

So, demons? Nope, sorry, those are Christian Icons that have no bearing on witchcraft or Wicca or paganism for that matter. All devised by a religion seeking to scare and control their members by pointing to others as demons and damning their immortal souls.

Want to know what Wicca is? Don't ask a Christian... ask a practicing Wiccan.

No, it isn't. But your question perfectly demonstrates the intolerance that causes many non-Christians to have a negative image of Christianity.

But perhaps that wasn't your intention, maybe you really just don't anything about Wicca and were only repeating what you heard from others. Maybe we should all give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you just didn't know any better. I'm not willing to go quite that far, but just in case you really want to know more about Wicca check out the following link. Be careful though, you just might learn something.

No the words demon worship are still perfectly apt for demon worshipers. Wicca is something entirely different, except to intolerant Christians who believe anyone who isn't the same as them worships the devil.

No. Its a complete different way of looking at the world which does not to my knowledge involve demons at all.

In Wicca, a God, is more of an "intellgence" found in nature and the idea of supernatural is stupid. There is only nature.

No, although most Abrahamic religions think so. Wicca is an Earth based religion that doesn't follow the "big 3" (Christianity, Islam, Hebrew). We honor Nature, the Earth, and all living things. The "Devil" doesn't exist in our faith as he is apart of the Abrahamic faiths. We don't pray as we feel we work with the Divine to bring about positive change in the world. We don't go door to door recruiting as well feel those that want to find our path will do so on their own. We have but one law, the Wiccan Rede: "An in it harm none, do as thou whilst".

No we do not worship demons such worship is disheartening, depressing and can be potentially harmful. We do however worship a Goddess and or a God we revere nature and all life. Blessed be.

Ahhh nope. Actually look into Wicca a bit - you'll find they don't believe in demons. But that was a nice try at being controversial and typical.

Much like some of the answerers above - do you all enjoy being so purposefully ignorant - about your own faith even?

baffling.

no it is not, but your question reminds me of a quote i saw.

"if only closed minds came with closed mouths"

If you did some research before opening your mouth, you would see pagans don't believe in demons or the devil, that is a CHRISTIAN concept. In reading you would also learn that, The Wiccan belief is much older and came BEFORE Christianity. Also you would find that ALOT of christian symbols and traditions such as, Christmas trees, birth of a god in Dec. Egg hunts and bunnys at "Easter" time and many more were stolen from the Pagan religion to CONVERT people to christianity a few thousand years ago.

Look into it.

No, it's a revival of certain legitimate pre-Christian beliefs, attitudes and practices. Certainly, it at the very least deserves to be treated on a par with many of the shades of Christianity that have come along in the last three centuries...and Lord knows its practitioners are a darn sight more tolerant and accepting of others' differences than many Christians.

(And no, I'm not a Wiccan--or any other type of neo-pagan--myself.)
