I think they desperately want to believe in something ... but have faith in nothing... so therefore they try to argue us out of our faith because misery loves company????

Everyone is entitled to have an opinion about anything. By the way, many atheists are former spiritual and religious people. Many atheists are more knowledgable about religions than many of the religions' followers. Having an opinion about religion and spirituality does not mean the person must be religious or spiritual.
I guess I could say this, why do religious people try to "save" atheists? If atheists aren't allowed to have an opinion on religions, then religious people shouldn't have opinions on atheists. It goes both ways.
It's a free internet, anyone can have an opinion about anything.

Atheism is a position taken up in opposition to religious belief so where else would atheists post their views but right here where so many make their arguments in favour . You have to have two sides to every debate or it becomes an uninterrupted sermon !
It depends how you define spirituality in relationship to an atheists views about that subject . Awe and wonder is not the preserve of the religious , in fact maybe a bit more of it would counteract the stupid stance taken by some extreme believers . All (God's) children gotta place in the choir .

Who said we don't believe in spirituality?
I've had one NDE and countless OBE's. I remain an atheist, nor do I believe the being I meet in my NDE & OBE's is real. Does that somehow negate the deep personal truths I discover in those states?
Further, religion establishes a set of axioms. Where there are axioms, there is logic and conclusion. In few fields is there so much room to take an axiom and wrestle with it as though it were a living thing, to see just where it leads. Once, back when I was still a Christian, as a time-killer, I decided to accept the axiom, 'Jesus is the Messiah' and see just where I could get with it via inductive and deductive logic. I was able to establish all the things that the various Catholic faiths hold in common just from that one axiom.
That I no longer accept that initial axiom in no way negates the validity of the conclusions based on it (though I no longer consider the conclusions TRUE since I do not consider the initial axiom true), nor my love of logical analysis of complex concepts.

Atheists don't believe in God(s). They do believe that religions exist, and they are spiritual. You're question makes no sense as it is worded, much like it makes no sense that this question is asked 20 times a day.

Here's a new one for you: given there are so many religions and gods out there... which one is the true one?
And since when is this section the sole property of believers?

That's fine; just don't answer any question on science. or politics. or anything else for that matter. If you are religious, then your answers will only pertain to religion, right? NO! The world doesn't work the way you want it to work. Someone once told me a long time ago that opinions are like a$$holes; everybody has one, no one wants to hear yours...

To be 'A' theist actually means to not have chosen one particular faith it does not necessarily mean a denial of God's existence.
However most people take it to mean this.
Personally I would say that to declare that there is no God requires a huge leap of faith, the theory being itself impossible to prove, thus making the holder of these views something of an extremist.
People expressing extreme views tend to be rather vocal at any given opportunity.

They haven't merged "Religion and Spirituality" with mythology yet, like they should have.
