im trying to download a game thats 1 gigabyte and it takes like 11 hours to download on my computer so i left it overnight to download but when i checked it after i left it overnight it said download cannot be completed that is because my modem always disconnects for a minute every 3 hours what should i do?don`t tell me to call bellsouth my internet provider and please if your going to answer this question could you give me a software to download so i can keep my download up even though i lost the line or something like that?

Download netscape smart downloader! It will allow you to resume your download when you log back on.

Easiest thing to do is to get a Download Manager off the net, there are a number of free ones available.
The download manager will control the download so if it does lose a connection it will keep the data already downloaded and continue it when you reconnect

You can try downloading by other sources sry. im not sure but try other sources like Kazaa you may be able to pause the download while online. The pausing stops and saved the downloaded info. and even while the internet disconnects it is still avaible

I'm no expert but it seems to me that this should in no way take 11 hours. May I make a couple of suggestions:
Close all open programs.
Set your wallpaper and screensaver to blank or none.
Now give it a try.
