Unknown. I haven't heard of that doctrine. It won't matter because when you've been resurrected and stand before the bar of Jesus Christ, food and drink are not necessary to sustain your immortal body.

It's what you do with your diet and body in this mortal life that counts. When you die, you carry with you all your addictions for food, drugs, and drink, and you will have to overcome those afflictions while in the spirit world.

You must be referring to the Seventh-day Adventist Church (no other religion/cult is this fanatical about certain aspects of diet). As a graduate with a religion degree at one of the church's universities, I can tell you that their official stance is that we are saved by the Grace of Jesus Christ, not works.

However, SDA's (both liberal and conservative) are bound by a second canon: the works of Ellen G. White, a self-proclaimed prophetess. In many places throughout her writings, partaking of unclean meats and having a poor diet are among the reasons why certain people will be left out of Heaven. Much of what she teaches (particularly about diet and eschatology) is in addition to what is taught in the Bible.

Read what the Bible states about those who attempt to add to God's Word, and you will understand why her views on many things (including diet) are so destructive.

To Summarize: Ellen G. White (and not the Bible) are the reason why one's diet is held accountable for entering Heaven in the minds of so many tortured souls.

Well, I am a Seventh-Day Adventist and I have a few restrictions to what I eat. For example, crustaceans without scales we believe in unclean. Same with pigs, we also think they are unclean swines. Anything like ham. Strict Seventh-Day Adventists eat only vegetables. In the bible, God told a prophet all the unclean animals such as cats, dogs, shrimp, pigs etc. Another unclean thing is humans. I believe that all the religions shoulnd't and don't hold cannabalism permissible in any aspect. Also, wine and other alcoholic drinks. It literally destroys your body which is the temple of God.
