Absolutely not.

No poultry or fish bones. Only beef bones and pig bones.

Do not give your dog cooked turkey bones. Poultry bones can splinter, after they've been cooked. If your pet is eating the bones and they splinter, they could become wedged in your dog's throat. If you want to treat your dog, during Christmas dinner, cook the giblets with the turkey and serve those to your dog.

no! if i was you teh only bone id give them is ones from teh petstore, just to be safe. I've heard beef bones are ok tho, but better safe than sorry. The issue with turkey bones, and chicken bones is that they can splinter and that would not be good. The dog could swallow a splinter and that would not be fun for teh dog or you wallet!

No, as with chicken bones, turkey bones can splinter and become lodged in the dogs throat.

Beef bones are better if you have to give them bones.

As I was saying in another post, peeps have been feeding bones forever, I do not feel comfy feeding these bones to our dogs.
My father taught me this a long long time ago lol! If you boil the bones all the meat will fall off. The knuckle is good for them for it is cartilage. My dad was a cook, he would cook for us as well as for our dog (s) all the time! I grew up doing this too. Our kids will do this with there dogs too...
The morel (sp) inside is what the dogs are after....

No!! Any bones that come from poultry can be dangerous to dogs and cats. Give them bones from the pet store like cow hooves and pig ears. These treats won't tear the stomach and keep them happy.

If you're feeding raw, then it would depend on the type of bone. Turkey backs and necks would be OK, if they are raw. But it's not a good idea to combine these raw bones with a kibble based diet.

NO!!

It's not safe - the bones could splinter and scratch their throats/internal organs on the way down. Or they could get caught in their throat and choke them.

I know in India and Taiwan we used to feed bones to stray dogs - I guess they're used to it there because they know how to chew and they're used to roughage like that.

here in the US, particularly with domesticated dogs, it's harder because dogs are used to eating food that digests easily, so you give them something harder like a bone, and they may 1) not chew it at all and choke or 2) chew inadequately and hurt themselves.

Better to err on the side of caution and not feed bones of ANY kind to your dog...

Dogs should not be fed any kind of bones from a bird. They will splinter in their intestines and cause them internal bleeding possibly resulting in death.

No poultry bones- they are too brittle and can cause choking or punctures.
