One stick=1/2 cup. It is usually easier to use sticks of butter rather than tub butter in baking so that you can measure it more accurately, although you need to make sure to let the stick sit out for a minute to allow it to get a little softer.

cooking type like making sugar cookies would ask maybe 1
ounce or16 pounds of sacherated fats in measurements along
with powdered sugar and some Almond excstract 1tsp
