I want to take my girlfriend somewhere totally different for a date and really amaze her. Don't mind how much I spend but don't want to be extravagent just for the sake of it. Tried google searching but the best ideas that come up are the usuals like picnics and trips to the theatre. Thanks in advance

i love sharring ideas!
here are a few for all types of weather mixed in!
- lazer tag is fun! night out eat sushi befor hand!
- go panning for gold! or other minerals! check for a local mine in your area!
- get rent barrow a video recorder and make a make shift vedio! let that be your date! both you right out a little script! and then act it out!
- see if you can plan something special with a local radio station talk to the night host and see if you can't figure something out!
- get some friends and play a board game! Risk is great!
- get a horse and buggy ride somewhere and make a home cooked meal...
- do a spa date! they do have some that have men and women areas!
- make her go on a hunt <- my friend was proposed this way! it wascool!
- go on a hike if cold bundle up and bring some snacks.. then follow up at a kids place to eat!
- cook a dinner together!
- take a craft class together!
- buy a large canvus for painting pick up some paints.. lay down drop cloths and get crazy! hand prints naked bodies, or what every you want but you can't use brushes to paint on the canvus
okay i'm out of crazy fun ideas i would love to do all of these!

Think about your mutual interests. If you both like movies.. try a play. If its music.. maybe a jazz club, animals.. the zoo, if she's part gear head.. a car show. You could go get a massage.. day at a spa. Take your common interests and add a little twist.
And volunteering at a local charity is not a bad idea, IF it is something close to her heart.

Why not hire a vintage car and drive her to a stately home/ hotel for a nice lunch. I would recommend 'Le manoir aux quatre saisons' runs by Raymond Blanc. The food is fantastic and the surrounding lovely, I am sure she will be impressed and very happy about the day.

Check out the price of limos in your area and have a limo pick you both up for a date. Have champagne in the limo also. This way you both can have a drink or two (don't overdo it) and enjoy a night out on the town. Take her to a romantic restaurant with a great view. Bring her one rose also. Enjoy!

grab some food, a blanket and hit the drive in! That way you can snuggle in the car....
or a trip to the zoo, and feeding the animals..take pictures of that...that would be a good laugh

* Hot air ballooning with a champagne breakfast.
* Flying lessons
* Go to several restaurants in one night. One for a drink, one for appetizer, one for dinner and another for dessert and nightcap. Share the dinner....
*Set up a picnic in a well lit downtown park, Nothing heavy though. Maybe some nice cheese and fruit with a bottle of wine... have a friend watch over it as you go and fetch her.

i've always loved having movie marathons with my man. we pick a night or day and just watch a bunch of movies, pull out the hide-a-bed in the couch and fall asleep just watching movies. we go to a place here called hollywood video, they have like 5 for $25 dvd's you can buy, so we pick out 2 each then agree on one, and watch those 5 movies, or however many we stay awake for. sometimes we order in pizza or chinese or sometimes we'll break to cook something....but we always have popcorn and soda etc. on hand.
so who says you have to go out to have a great date!

I like to ice skate. ANy man that would take their girlfriend ice skating is sweet in my book. It's romantic, but funny too, becasue you both bust your butts on the ice.
