First, no, I don't agree with immigrants being allowed to come into the UK, but, I was thinking about England's history. Well, we colonised America and made the African Americans slaves, we sent our prisoners to Australia and took land away from the aboriginies. Then there's the parts of the Caribbean, South Africa, Scotland, Ireland, the list goes on.

So, do you think what goes around comes around?

As I said, I DON'T agree with immigrants being allowed to come into the UK. But really who are we to argue when we've done it the world over.

The major difference between historic conquest and modern immigration is that the UK has not been militarily conquered.
Instead, this country is controlled by those who wish to destroy the indigenous races and their culture by dilution with the alien influx.

I think that you will find that most of the negro slaves were taken to America after Independence.

All immigration should be stopped, as we take more immigrants each day, they are a drain on the national health which we pay for. Also they come from a poor country and go straight on the the benefit system, and they get priority for housing If we are going to accept immigrants they should have at least £20,000 in the bank so that they are not a drain on our services and the benefit system, if at the end of six months they have not found a job should be sent back to the country of origin, in my opinion we are storing a blood bath up for ourselves when we try to regain control over our own country

Er, firstly Scotland is part of the UK.

Secondly, I agree that what goes around comes around but you're logic seems rather fuzzy.

Let's also look at the facts:

Apart from a few picts etc most of us are immigrants anyway: Romans, Normans, Vikings, Saxons, Irish etc etc. You'll have to go all the way back to the dark ages and find the country bumpkins poking berries up their noses to find "true" brits.

So why not. I think the more diversity the better. Once we've cleaned up the ASBO dole scum in our estates and pushed into the jobs they think are below them instead of sponging off the state THEN and only then will I consider a change in immigration policy neccessary.

I think you'll find we transported Africans to the colonies. The industrial revolution was financed by slavery. There were very few slaves in the UK. The crew of the Bounty were transporting bread fruit to the Caribbean to be grown and feed slaves. Arabs and Africans were using other Africans as slaves before we arrived. If Poles and other east europeans want to come here and work, why not? The Windrush immigrants ran London Transport in the 50's. That's a generalisation I know but you get my drift?

You answered you own question. What comes around goes around because you English sure wreaked havoc all over the world. You cannot possibly complain about immigrants more than Americans do.

Yes,
But to everyone complaining: Would you prefer we send back everyone from the U.K. - Australia, New Zealand, S. Africa, U.S, Canada, Falkland, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan etc

We all born free and I do not understand why we cannot leave wherever we want; as some people do find their happiness or destiny in completely opposite side of the world they were born, so in order to get this people have to get through so many difficulties or even never get it at all. Just think about it... or imagine each country as a cage… it is not right is it?...

I 'll tell you what. Next time you are outside, at the beach, or maybe in a wood somewhere. Bend down and pick up some earth. Pick up a handful of dirt and ask yourself, do you feel like you own it?

The very notion that any particular piece of the surface of the earth belongs to any particular ethnic group is untenable.

When I look at the mountains of Scotland, I think that they are beautiful but never for one instant do I think that they belong to me, or that I have any claim over them whatsoever. It's all nonsense.

In the words of Samuel Johnstone, "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel".

What absolute rubbish - the proportion of immigrants to people born in the UK is minute so there is no chance of immigrants taking over the UK - only people suffering from an acute case of xenophobia could think such a thing.

I don't agree with Immigrants coming here totally but some are leaving their country's because of war and poverty and one day all of us may well find we fall into the immigrant category so best not judge them to quickly......
