you're not the cause for his disability so let him find the help he needs on his own. he's only leaning on your kindness and trying to take advantage of you.

You are absolutely right about getting out. Just DO it!! If you stay with him it will keep you back. Trust me on this, I know. You can refer him to a local facility hospital drug counseling place. You should be able to find one in your local phone book. Or call any hospital and they will refer you to a place where he can seek help but if he doesn't want to seek help - you can not make him help himself. These things in life are so iffy but all I know is that you have your own life that you need to take care of. I wish you the best but always remember to take care of #1 which is YOU!

There are some good hospitals in Louisville. Try Our Lady of Peace there or Western State Hospital in Hopkinsville.

You need to get out, but remember you once loved him so you owe him to at least help him to get to a-place where they can help him. Here is the following places i founded for you, Also if he has any family contact them asap and tell them everything including how you feel, i hope this helps you!

I think you should just tell him to get away from you and go get help and if that don't work call the police

it is one thing to help; its another thing to become an enabler
can the hospital provide someone to represent his best interest? and what about his relatives?
