I'm LDS, and I have an Aunt that's Jewish, and we love eachother and have a sense of mutual respect for our different faiths.

Once she invited my family over during passover and she gave us the special passover food and said her special blessing on the food - it was really cool actually.

I think the Mormons believe the Jews are the chosen people and the Jews just sort of ignore the Mormons. Yes, and then that was that old Mormon belief that Native Americans are some of the ten lost tribes of Israel.

Hmm, when I used to work at the Jewish Community Center in Salt Lake City about 10 years ago, I thought we got along pretty well. I think Mormons have a tendency to think of the wonderful Jewish people as distant cousins, so to speak, who have a unique role to play in the history of the world. I went to a dinner just this year called "Brothers Sitting Together" sponsored by a Mormon-Jewish combination, with a cool men's choir from Israel. I think they are going to continue having events like that every year now.

Mormons have a high respect for the Jewish people, as they are the chosen people of God. I couldn't say really how the Jewish people feel, but I do know the Mormons have a center in Jerusalem and a friend of mine studied over there and said they were very respected in return.

I'm just guessing here, as I'm neither Jew nor mormon, but since the whole mormon thing is based on a false prophet, and very silly heavenly vision someone apparently had after having eaten some potent mushrooms, I'd imagine the Jews don't bother thinking too much about the mormons in the first place. On the other hand, the mormons seem to think the American Indians are a lost tribe of Israel, which is absurd considering that the tribes of Israel know exactly who they are, it's not a mystery to them at all. Guessing the mormons don't actually read the bible.

I'm a LDS Mormon, and our church repect the Jews very much.

I like the Jews, because they do not bash other religions like most Christians do.

I hold excellent rapport with Jews on the Judaism site of the BellSouth Religion board. They don't lambast my religion as much as other Christians like to do.

Further, I respect their beliefs. They know I believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and the Son of God, but we don't argue about it.

To get respect one has to give respect first.

well, considering Judaism is an ACTUAL religion, and mormonishm (which I won't even capitalize or spell correctly) is based on the fact that Jesus was American... So I guess mormons pretty much can't hate the Jews unless they believe that the Jews were in America before Christ... Huh.. doozy of a question there. Let's go ask Mr. Owl.

I personally don't know anyone who is Jewish but I have respect for their beliefs. We are all entitled to believe and worship who/how/what we may and we believe all have that right.
I do believe that someday, maybe in the millenium, they will come to accept Christ as the Savior...but that's my own opinion.
