He might be filling up on milk. Restrict the milk to meal and snacktimes and give him water when he's thirsty. Don't let him eat too close before a meal. If he seems really hungry, feed him early.

wait til he is really hungry then give him something to eat and he will get hungry. You are probably making food too available to him so that it is not appealing anymore. My son loves pasta with butter and a little salt. He also loves taquitos from the freezer section and those bags of breaded already cooked chicken by Tyson. He loves Campbell chicken noodle soup, American cheese, Pollyo string cheese, those oatmeal packets. My son was picky too but because I never made a big deal he does not feel pressured to eat. Sometimes he comes begging for food because I let him get real hungry then he eats everything.
Too much milk can deplete a person's iron in their blood. He should only be having 18 oz. a day.

I know exactly what you are going through. My son will ask for food or drink all of the time when he doesn't want to do what he is asked. all we did was make an eating schedule for him. 3 meals and 3 snacks a day if hes is hungry. and with the milk stop giving it to him with every meal and alternate milk, water, juice. after a while (at least with my son) he stopped asking for milk all day and simply asks for water which in return makes him want to actually eat at meal times.
One other thing we did was what ever was fed to him at certain meals he sat there and ate it. If he didn't finish it it was saved for his snack. he usually does a really good job of clearing his plate and not being hungry if you give him the approiate amounts of food.(you know not trying to over stuff him)

Set mealtimes and snack times. Do not give him food every 30 minutes. Tell him, "It's ____ minutes until snack time. Would you like a drink instead?" Then give him water. At snack or meal time, give him his food BEFORE you give him his milk.
Kids get picky about food sometimes. At 2, your son may seem like he's not eating at all, but he will eat enough to sustain his energy. As long as he's not losing weight or constantly fatigued, he's getting enough food. Give him a vitamin every day and wait for him to outgrow this stage.
Good luck!

If hes not eating at all, maybe you should cut back on the milk. He may not have the room for food. Good luck.. and Happy Holidays
