When in Burlington Vermont, USA, stop in at Meyer's Bagels on Pine street. The owner rolls by hand, boils
them himself and then cooks them off in a Wood-Fired brick oven. He is from a family of Montreal, Quebec Bagel makers.

I don't know your location so I can't suggest a place. Here we have a local bagel shop that makes great bagels.

H and H bagels, upper west side of Manhattan.
If you're not lucky enough to live in NYC, they ship all over the world. Expensive, but worth every cent.

Panera Bread has very good bagels and a pretty good variety to choose from......they also have several flavors of cream cheese to choose from.
