capable of complex abstract thought would that mean they had a soul?
Would that mean they needed salvation?
Would Jesus need to come back as a Dolphin, be harpooned by Japanese Fishermen and rise or in this case float from the dead as payment for the Sins of Dolphin kind?

No offense, but I really don't like these "what if" questions that don't deal with reality at all, and are specifically designed to trip up Christians or demean their beliefs.

I'm not going to waste time answering this silly question, other than to say that dolphins are not capable of abstract thought and do not have souls. So it's ridiculous to even ponder these "possibilities."

So save the snicker-snicker "what if" questions, please.

I believe they are capable of complex, abstract thought, and I believe they do have souls. Since they don't sin, they don't have to worry about that whole salvation issue, they are granted immunity from punishment for sins. So you see, you don't have to worry about the salvation of dolphins.

Dolphins are capable of complex abstract thought. The only reason they haven't got cities and technology like us is that they can't make fire underwater.

in my view, i've got self assurance that all and sundry animals have a soul and no rely if or no longer they do, they nonetheless pass to Heaven. So i do no longer think of a Dolphin Jesus is mandatory for their souls. i think of they could ought to be waiting to understand the thought of 'sin' and violate it. i do no longer think of any animal can try this no rely how sensible.

Dolphins do have souls (mind, will, emotions). They do not have a spirit. Our spirit is what communicates with God. Dolphins do not communicate with God. Dolphins will not be judged by God.
