To be honest with you I can't remember ever using anything other than the truth to get out of a date or getting rid of a girlfriend. I never felt any need to play those games that most play when it comes to romance.
The truth seemed to work well for me so I just kept using it.
Yes i have told several of the girlfriends that it was time to go. Yes just like that. They also knew from the begining that I would never marry them or even want to stay with them for a long time.
the one here now has been here the longeswt and that is just over 10 years. We both are getting up there in years and are long past that game playing thing. No I will not marry her either.
I do think this one is the last one but not sure about that either.

Never used a line to get out of a date.
I actually once used the "I think our friendship is too special to ruin" line to get out of being a girls BF.
I felt a little bad because of how many times it was used on me. But I got over it.

take it from a girl lines don't work just tell the girl who you feel honestly and make her feel special like she is the only girl for you. Are you single? What do you do when asking a lady out?

I have never tried to get out of a date in my life except when i was hit on by a gay guy. honesty is the best, tell her there is not enough chemistry between us.this way she will look for somebody else

I can tell you what my friends have been told... "I'm going through a hard time right now and I need some space..." and "my family hates you" of course that was the all-night conversation where she was on the phone crying nonstop.
