Now its one thing to believe that God had a hand in something that you have seen happen, but someone I know told me that one person at the church had his cancer cured and another had his HIV cured. Now I'm atheist, but I try to respect those with religious beliefs and even when they say something I find ridiculous I try not to talk down to them as if they were a child trying to convince me that Santa is real, but what am I supposed to say to this person without just humoring them or talking down to them? How could I possibly find a common ground?

A person's faith and expectation to be healed are healed quite often.

That expectation and faith can and does direct their lifeforce energy to heal themself.

If you want to learn more about the lifeforce energy that is flowing through both of us; read up avout Chinese Qigong.

I know a Lin Kong Jing Qigong master (Richard Mooney who was an advanced pupil of Paul Dong.

Sifu Dong once knocked down a line of more than 30 people who were standing on the other side of a sheet of plywood so they could not see what he was doing.

Richard Mooney was mentioned in the book "The Ultimate Martial Art", and was recommended as a Qigong master in the book "Chi Kung: For Health And Vitality" by Sifu Wong Kiew Kit.

Sifu Wong was awarded the 1998 Qigong master of the year award

Richard Mooney has knocked down two rows of 6 people across the room without touching them.

Compared to people like Sifu Dong, Mooney, and Wong; I am a light weight; but I have received the title "master" in eight different disciplines., and CAN affect the world around me to some degree.

My ability to do bigger things will come as I continue to work on myself and train my mind to focus better.

First of all, I want to say that God is the healer, not the man woman or person of God, but God Himself. The Holy Spirit that is active in the believer has the spiritual gifts to heal and deliver any person from any sickness of disease. Nothing is impossible with God.
I see that you have said that you are an atheist. I'm not gonna bash you like many others may in their answers. I really like the fact that you say that you respect your friends beliefs. As a minister of the Gospel and just as a believer, I must tell you that the believer must believe God can do anything to receive anything from God. This is based on faith. I'm sure you are familiar with faith, because all humans are created with the ability to believe and given the free will to choose what to believe in. But, because of love, I must tell you that Jesus saves.
Now, as for your friend, as a believer, your friend should follow Christ, not a pastor, leader, minister, or figurehead. Christ leads, we follow. I pray that this man is not trying to sell his ministry and is really using the Holy Spirit to heal and giving glory to God only. Even when a doctor heals, or a pill heals, it is due to God's power and ability.
You may ask, does this happen if the person healing is unsaved, or atheist, or a backslidding (uncommitted) believer? The answer is yes. This happens because f God. All things happen by Gods permission, even bad things.
One thing about serving the Master, is that we must submit to His will.
I hope this helps you. Contact me if you have any other questions. God bless.

I even have liver maximum cancers and a few year or 2 left. particular there is a few bitterness in spite of the shown fact that it comes from the melancholy of understanding there's no longer lots i will do. I have not have been given any coverage basically the VA and that they are valueless so I paint my opportunities as no longer good. It replaced into through militia that I have been given this affliction. Heard of something noted as Hepatitus C nicely whilst the militia had their greater suitable thought of giving everybody their photos whilst they got here in with a sort of air injectors nicely approximately 60% of all militia personell from the 60s and 70s have hep c and the militia says wasnt us yet they are the only undemanding element. once you're a vet from that era I recomend you get a blood attempt for it through fact maximum folk dont understand they have it till finally its too previous due.

Do not try and convince your friend of something that would ruin your friendship, but do not fall for something that doesn,t agree with your heart and mind.If your friend is so convinced that a man has healed anyone, then tell them to heal everyone you bring to them, and that should be easy for them if it is their true calling.I remember that Jesus said he performed his miracles by the creator permission, and did not accept credit for the things he did.I don,t know why some one who says they are religious would raise themselves up to a level greater than the prophet Jesus, other than to swindle the people out of something.

>> cancer cured

Cancer doesn't 'cure' - it goes into remission at best without surgery or chemo. The cancer is still there - it's just not aggressively spreading.

>> HIV cured

Impossible. Either he had a false positive first test, or a false negative second test.

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Matt 19: 26 But Jesus beheld [them], and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

That "priest" is going to kill, not just his followers but also the people infected with HIV/AIDS after a "cured" person goes around thinking they are HIV free and spreads it around.

You obviously want to say something to them that demeans that faith that a miracle happened, otherwise you would not be asking us about it. Sometimes when people are faced with a life threatening illness, it comforts them to have faith in something.

My advice to you would be to keep mum and let this person and his freind have their faith.

Psychology is a powerful thing. Just ask him to start raising funds for his healer to head to Africa and start healing all those HIV victims.

don't say anything... say congratulations.... who cares how or who cured it.... it is cured... let them believe what they want, and do the same for yourself. Stop meddling in others business!
