She taps me on the upper arm and upper leg, leans on me, and hugs me now. She is touchy-feely and says that she touches lots of guys, but I only see her touching me. She joked about me being her bf and called my other girl friends "competition" once. She also spends all of her time with me when we see each other. We brought up being together but decided to remain friends. Are these actions normal for a girl to have when she is friends with a guy? I wonder because we are becoming closer and closer!

She really likes you but is to afraid to openly admit this not knowing exactly how you feel. Or she doesnt want to jeopardize your friendship. I had a guy friend like this and I really liked him but to date him just wasnt for me. He wasnt right and I knew in the long run it would not work. So we kept it as friends and that worked for awhile for him but then he couldnt handle it and moved out of state. Totally lost track of him. Another instance just recently and that guy has pulled away since I made it perfectly clear nothing would go on...just friends. Why do you men do this? Cant you be friends even if theres an attraction instead of running the other way?

The main thing I can suggest is to find out from her.
Sounds like things just might take a turn in the sexual/in-love direction. Especially with the touchy-feely thing.
Loving each other as brother/sister is cool. But if one feels different about the other, things could get messy.
Ask her. Ask her to be honest.

I don't really have an answer for you, but I can relate. I have a similar situation going on with one of my friends. I told her I really liked her about half a year ago, and she said she just wanted to hang out as friends. Like your friend, she's very flirtatious and gives affectionate hugs to me. She's also said she finds me physically attractive, and I don't doubt it. The other night, I hung out with her at her place, and ended up sitting on her bed next to her as we laughed. (Talk about frustrating.) I suspect that she's a bit insecure and loves the attention, but is for some reason afraid of a relationship.
I dunno. I would suggest trying to steer the conversation towards dating as a general topic. Talk about past relationships and things like that. Try to get a sense of what she's looking for in a relationship, and maybe you'll be able to shed some light on the reasons for her feelings towards you. Also, try dropping a few hints about seeing other women yourself. She might decide to hang onto you if she sees she could lose you to someone else.
Otherwise, as long as you're enjoying yourself, just give it time and see what happens!

not normal. she's being sneaky. she's trying to get in your pants or be your gf. i'm a touchy feely type towards most, but by far the person of my intrest does get more of this type of attention from me. not to mention the comments she made, i'm thinking if you don't want to be with her you need to make that clear now. squash the touchy feely and tell her to back off, or before you know it you have a gf.

well some girls can be very flirty like that, but usually girls do that stuff to show that they care about u! she probably does have feelings for u!she needs for u to show her that u feel the same way about her! i would say just keep doing what ur doing and sooner or later bring up the idea of u guys going out ! hope this helps! good luck!=)
