The Casio's are actully pretty competitive and great looking cameras. I assume you mean the EX-S600.
the great thing about this casio is its packaging- it's so skinny! You can buy it for between $225 and $250, and I think it's even available in colors.

If the finest image quality is important to you, there are some other choices, like the Fuji F30, for the same price. But- the Casio's OK. Another thing that I like about the Casio's are that they're very responsive. i.e. Not much of a delay from the time you press the shutter button, to the time the picture is taken. Some cameras are very slow in this regard- like nearly 1 second. The casios are 0.2-0.3 sec.

It's a very competitive market, and there are many choices out there. Each camera has it's pro's and con's. But- you wouldn't be making a big mistake in buying the Casio- it's a fine little unit.

Casio has been a leader in consumer electronics for way longer than most brand names. The exilim is a real nice compact point and shoot camera for everyday applications.
